| We know you have a variety of orthodontists to choose from when it comes to your or your child’s orthodontic care. At Dr. Kallis’ office, we pride ourselves in the relationships we have developed with our patients as well as the first-class treatment we provide. Here are a few reasons to choose our office and Dr. Kallis for your orthodontic needs: Dr. Kallis is an orthodontic specialist. Dr. Kallis has completed a two-year residency in addition to the four years of dental school. His practice is limited to orthodontics and he is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Kallis is board eligible! Dr. Kallis has completed the written examination and has begun the rigorous additional study required to become certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. When certified, he will be among a small percentage of orthodontists in the United States to earn this distinguished achievement in his specialty. We present all treatment options. Dr. Kallis presents all options of treatment so you can make the choice which most suits your lifestyle. Each treatment is tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Dr. Kallis does not take a “one size fits all” treatment approach where every patient receives the same treatment. He and his staff take time to talk with you and design a treatment plan based on your individual needs. Dr. Kallis is committed to keeping parents informed. Dr. Kallis strives to keep parents informed of their child’s current treatment and progress through discussion at each visit and annual progress letters. He and his staff are available to answer any questions you have. We never use recycled bands or brackets. While some practices may recycle braces, we do not. We feel that that braces are precision appliances that are intended for single use only. We complete treatment within the estimated treatment time. One important factor when a person begins wearing braces is how long they will be wearing them. Our estimated treatment time takes into consideration mechanics, bracket placement and patient cooperation. Our goal is to complete treatment during the estimated treatment time. Dr. Kallis places all braces himself. The placement of braces is one of the most important aspects of treatment as it is a very technically detailed procedure. The proper placement affects the treatment time and the effectiveness of the braces. Only Dr. Kallis can position and place the brackets as assistants do not have the training for this procedure. We place brackets on second molars. We can place brackets on molars once they have fully erupted. The alignment of second molars (twelve-year molars) is necessary in achieving a properly functioning bite. We utilize panorex x-rays. Many times, there are changes that occur during treatment that cannot be seen without an x-ray. We utilize panorex x-rays, which are more detailed radiographs. During the course of treatment, we take x-rays every 8 – 12 months to determine root positioning and the stability of the supporting bone around the teeth. We present our fees up front. At Dr. Kallis’ office, we want you to feel comfortable with the treatment plan and the cost of the care you receive. We present our fees up front, so there are no hidden surprises at a later date. Our fee is all-inclusive, consisting of diagnostic records, appliances for the estimated treatment time, retainers, and the retention period. |
