About Dr. Kallis

Dr. Douglas Kallis earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas in 1984. He graduated with honors from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry Degree in 1987. He was then chosen for a one year hospital based general practice residency program at affiliated hospitals in Louisville through the school of dentistry.

In 1991, Dr. Kallis received his orthodontic degree after completing two full years of specialty training in orthodontics at Emory University. He has been in full-time practice in Griffin, Georgia since graduation. He is board eligible through the American Board of Orthodontics, having completed the written examination requirements.

Dr. Kallis’ professional memberships include the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association and the Georgia Central District Dental Society. Dr. Kallis regularly attends continuing education seminars to keep current on the latest technologies and treatment techniques.

Dr. Kallis has been involved with several community organizations including Stepping Stones and The Joseph Sams School. He has been married to his wife, Kelly, a nurse practitioner, since 1995. He enjoys fly fishing, golf, and going to the beach. He is an avid Arkansas Razorback fan.
